TL;DR

BLS Spain visa appointment in London: register on uk.blsspainvisa.com, choose London, take a slot from the live calendar and complete the Spain form as part of the booking. London's Spanish consulate decided 82,840 UK applications in 2025 and refused 5.9%. You pay €90 plus £14.85 at the centre. Slots release in batches, so open the Manchester and Edinburgh calendars too, and skip the slot bots. Rather not chase it? We prepare and book it for £99.

How to get a slot at BLS London

A BLS Spain visa appointment in London is booked on the official BLS International site, uk.blsspainvisa.com. Spain is the only Schengen destination that uses BLS in the UK, so there is no VFS Global or TLScontact route to compare it with. You create an account, choose London as your centre, pick an available date and complete the Spain application form as part of the booking. Booking is free; the fees are paid on the day.

London is Spain's busiest UK centre by a wide margin, which is why the calendar is often the hardest of the three to catch. Create the account before you need it, so that when a batch of dates appears you are choosing a slot rather than filling in registration fields.

London's Spanish consulate in 2025

Spain decides UK applications at three consulates, and the European Commission publishes each one's figures.

ConsulateApplications 2025RefusedRefusal rateRefusal rate 2024
London82,8404,7915.9%3.5%
Manchester38,1752,9748.0%4.9%
Edinburgh17,1803732.2%4.1%
Spain, all UK138,1958,1386.1%3.9%

London took six in ten of Spain's UK applications in 2025 and refused fewer of them, proportionally, than Manchester. The rate rose from 3.5% in 2024, as it did for Spain as a whole. A refusal rate is not a prediction about your file; it is a measure of how many files did not hold together, and the common reasons are on our refusals page.

Step by step

  1. Register on uk.blsspainvisa.com and keep the login safe; you will come back to it to manage the booking.
  2. Choose London as your centre. Any UK resident may choose any of the three BLS cities.
  3. Pick a slot from the live calendar and complete the Spain application form in the booking flow. Have your passport, trip dates and accommodation details to hand; the form asks for them.
  4. Build the file to the BLS checklist: passport and old passports, proof of UK residence (BRP, eVisa share code or visa), round-trip flights, accommodation for every night, a day-by-day itinerary, 3 to 6 months of bank statements with payslips, an employer or university letter, travel insurance with at least €30,000 of medical cover, two photos to the spec and a short cover letter. The full list is on the Schengen documents page.
  5. Attend in London to give biometrics and hand over the pack. BLS checks the file against the consulate's requirements at the counter, so anything missing costs you the visit. You pay the €90 consulate fee (about £81) and BLS's £14.85 fee there.
  6. Wait for the decision: normally 15 calendar days from the appointment, up to 45 in some cases. Courier return is an optional paid extra; otherwise you collect. See Spain visa processing time.

If BLS London shows no slots

We do not quote a wait time, because BLS releases dates in batches and nobody outside BLS knows when the next one lands. What works:

  • Check at different times of day. New batches and cancellations appear without notice.
  • Open the other two calendars. Manchester and Edinburgh can take any UK resident's Spain application; a train fare can be cheaper than a missed trip.
  • Book up to six months ahead of travel, and before the summer rush if you can.
  • Avoid "guaranteed slot" sellers and bots. Consulates have voided appointments booked that way, and booking on the official site costs nothing.

What our booking desk does. It opens the BLS calendar for London, Manchester and Edinburgh by hand every working day for every customer whose file is complete, and books the first slot that fits their dates, in the customer's own name and account. We never run bots or scripts, never ask for your portal password or one-time code, and never buy or sell a slot. When we have a recent reading, the offer card at the top of this page shows the earliest Spain slot we have seen and the day we saw it; every centre's readings are in the appointment availability index. If the BLS system shows no Spain appointments at all, the booking promise pauses and the plan step says so before you pay. The done-for-you service is a £99 service fee, official fees paid at the centre, booked within 3 working days of your complete file, subject to availability, or the fee back.

Before your London appointment

  • Print the appointment confirmation, or have it on your phone.
  • Check the three passport tests: issued within 10 years, valid 3 months beyond your return, 2 blank pages.
  • Make sure the bank statements, the bookings and the itinerary tell one story: the same dates, the same cities, most nights in Spain. If most nights are elsewhere, read which country to apply to before you book anything.
  • Build and size the file with the free checklist generator, the Bundler and the Compressor.

London also hosts every other Schengen operator; if Spain is not your main destination, the Schengen visa appointment in London page lists them.

Common questions

  1. 01

How do I book a BLS Spain visa appointment in London?

Register on the BLS International UK site at uk.blsspainvisa.com, choose London as your centre, pick an available date from the live calendar and complete the Spain application form as part of the booking. You then attend in person to give fingerprints and a photo, hand over your documents and pay the fees. Booking on the official site is free; only the fees on the day cost money.

  2. 02

Do I have to use London if I live in London?

BLS lets any UK resident choose London, Manchester or Edinburgh at the booking step, and each city has its own Spanish Consulate General deciding the files lodged there. Most people pick the centre they can reach on the day, but if London shows nothing and you can travel, Manchester or Edinburgh sometimes has an earlier date.

  3. 03

How many Spain visas does the London consulate decide?

In 2025 the Spanish Consulate General in London decided 82,840 UK Schengen applications, more than Manchester (38,175) and Edinburgh (17,180) combined, and refused 5.9% of them. Spain's UK total was 138,195 applications with a 6.1% refusal rate, the largest caseload of any Schengen state in the UK that year. Source: European Commission consulate statistics.

  4. 04

Why does BLS London show no appointment slots?

Spain took more UK applications than any other Schengen state in 2025 and London is its busiest centre, so demand is heavy and BLS releases slots in batches without notice. Check the calendar at different times of day, watch for cancellations, open the Manchester and Edinburgh calendars, and book as early as your dates allow, up to six months before travel.

  5. 05

What do I pay at the BLS London centre?

The €90 Spanish consulate fee (about £81) for an adult, €45 for a child aged 6 to 11 and nothing for a child under 6, plus BLS International's service fee of £14.85 including VAT. Optional extras such as courier return cost more. Together that is about £96 per adult, paid at the centre whether you apply yourself or use a service.

  6. 06

Can someone book my BLS London appointment for me?

Yes, as long as it is booked on the official BLS site in your own name and you attend in person for fingerprints. Our done-for-you service prepares the whole file and books the appointment in your own BLS account for a £99 service fee, within 3 working days of your complete documents, subject to availability, or the fee back. We never use bots, never ask for your login code and never buy or sell a slot.
