Schengen Visa Agent in Birmingham (2026): No Centre, What to Do

TL;DR

There is no Schengen visa centre in Birmingham. Every UK operator works from London, Manchester and Edinburgh, plus Cardiff for Lithuania, and Poland, Luxembourg and Romania take applications in London. A Birmingham resident prepares the file at home and travels once for biometrics. An agent, including us, can prepare that file and book the Manchester or London slot for £99; nobody can sell you a Birmingham appointment.

Is there a Schengen visa centre in Birmingham?

No. We checked every one of the 28 destinations you can apply to from the UK against the operator and city assignments verified on 24 June 2026. VFS Global, TLScontact, BLS International and GVC World run their UK Schengen centres in London, Manchester and Edinburgh; VFS adds Cardiff for Lithuania alone. Poland is lodged at the Polish Consulate in London through e-Konsulat, Luxembourg at its London embassy by emailed appointment, and Romania at its Consulate General in London after an eViza online application.

Assignments can change, and if a centre ever opens in the West Midlands it will appear at the city-selection step on the operator's site. Until then, anyone advertising a "Birmingham Schengen appointment" is not describing the official system.

Where Birmingham residents lodge

For most countries you have a choice of Manchester or London, and for many, Edinburgh as well. Any UK centre that handles your country can take your application, so treat the two calendars as one pool and take the earliest date. Which city is quicker from your part of the West Midlands, and how long the journey takes, is not something our sources record, so plan it from the appointment time on your confirmation.

Greece's GVC World centres are London and Manchester only, with none in Scotland. Lithuania's Cardiff centre is an option if the south west suits you better than the north.

Which countries go to Manchester and which to London

Three operator details from our sources affect the choice:

• Since 1 August 2026, TLScontact's London and Manchester centres allocate France appointments automatically: a validated application joins a queue and an appointment is emailed to you to confirm and pay for promptly. If none is allocated within 60 days the registration lapses. Edinburgh still shows a pickable calendar.
• From 1 June 2026 the German embassy runs a waiting list through TLScontact in London and Manchester because demand exceeds capacity.
• Two fees differ by city: Croatia's VFS fee is 36 euros in Manchester against 33 in London, and Denmark adds 5 euros for courier return outside London.

Plan the journey to the centre

• One visit for most countries. You give fingerprints and a photo, hand over the file and pay. Choose courier return so the passport comes back to Birmingham; collection means a second trip. Romania requires the applicant to return in person to collect the passport, so budget two journeys.
• Bring a complete file. Staff check it at the counter, and an incomplete submission can mean rebooking a slot and repeating the journey.
