TL;DR
Germany visa help from the UK for a £99 service fee: we build your pack to the embassy's checklist, complete the form, and register you on the TLScontact waiting list in London or Manchester in your own name, or book Edinburgh if you live in Scotland. For Germany, booked means registered: the embassy issues the date and the TLScontact fee is paid within 24 hours of an allocation. You pay the official fees, attend biometrics, and the embassy decides.
Germany from the UK: who takes the application
Germany's short-stay applications in the UK go through TLScontact, with centres in London, Manchester and Edinburgh. The German missions decide. Where you live decides the centre: the missions' page says London and Manchester serve applicants living in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and Edinburgh serves applicants living in Scotland. In 2025 the London consulate decided 30,927 UK applications and Edinburgh 1,798.
The €90 consulate fee, about £81, is paid at the appointment (€45 for a child aged 6 to 11, free under 6). TLScontact's service fee is about £28 to £35; TLScontact does not publish the UK figure openly, so treat it as an estimate until you see it on the allocation. Standard processing is 15 calendar days from the appointment, up to 45 in some cases. The clock starts at the appointment, not at registration.
The slot situation: a waiting list, not a calendar
Since 1 June 2026 there has been no calendar to pick a date from in London or Manchester. The German Embassy's notice says: "As demand for Schengen visa appointments currently exceeds the visa section's capacity", and "in order to protect visa applicants from fraudulent and expensive appointment booking agencies", the embassy established a waiting list through TLScontact in London and Manchester for tourism, business, visit and school-trip applications. How it runs, from the notice:
- You register online with TLScontact only, for the right visa category. Applicants who register under the wrong category cannot be served.
- Appointments are allocated first come, first served.
- "Once an appointment has been allocated, you have to pay the service fee within 24 hours." Miss it and "your appointment will be cancelled and you will have to re-join the waiting list."
- Registration details must match your passport exactly, or the appointment is lost.
- The embassy publishes no waiting time and does not answer emails about one. Anyone quoting one is guessing.
Edinburgh is not named in the notice. If you live in Scotland, the Edinburgh centre is yours, and what TLScontact shows there at registration is what applies. Our Germany waiting list guide covers the list in full. While it runs, the slot line on this page shows "Waiting list open" for Germany rather than a date: it means registration was open when the desk last looked.
What the embassy says about agencies
The same notice adds: "Please explicitly note that it is NOT necessary to engage an agency to process your visa application or to file documents" (uk.diplo.de). That is true, and the free route is on this site: the document checklist, the checklist generator and the Germany guide. It is also why our fee is £99, published, and refundable in full before work starts. Nobody can sell you a place at the front of the embassy's list, and anyone offering a guaranteed Germany appointment for money is selling something that does not exist.
What our desk does for a Germany file
- Confirms Germany is the country to apply to from your itinerary, before registering. Joining the list for the wrong country wastes the wait.
- Prepares the file within 24 hours of your complete documents and details: the form, the ordered document pack, the cover letter and the what-to-bring list. Miss that through our fault and the fee comes back.
- Registers you on the waiting list at London or Manchester, in the right category, with details matching your passport, from an account in your name, within 3 working days of your complete file or the fee comes back. The registration date is saved on your order, and that is what "booked" means for Germany. If you live in Scotland, we use Edinburgh and work with what TLScontact shows there.
- Keeps the file ready so that the day an appointment is allocated, we confirm the date with you and you pay the TLScontact fee inside the 24 hours. The fee is an official fee, paid by you to TLScontact, and is not part of our £99.
- Briefs you for the day: what to bring, what to pay at the counter, and when to expect the decision.
We do not run bots or scripts against TLScontact's site, we never ask for your TLScontact password or one-time code, and we never buy or sell an appointment. If we have to ask you for a missing document, both clocks pause from our request until you have sent it.
What the German consulate is strict about
German consulates are known for careful document review, and the embassy's own rules add two traps of their own: the wrong registration category, and registration details that do not match the passport. The file we build closes the rest:
- Proof of UK status: a BRP, an eVisa share code or the visa in your passport, with leave running well beyond the trip.
- Funds: three to six months of bank statements and payslips, with the trip affordable on what they show.
- Ties to the UK: an employer or university letter, tenancy or property, family. Thin evidence that you will return is the leading reason for scrutiny and refusal.
- A consistent itinerary: flights, accommodation for every night and a day-by-day plan that match the form and the category you registered under.
- Insurance with at least €30,000 of medical and repatriation cover for the whole Schengen area and the whole trip.
- Photos to the 35 by 45 mm specification and a passport issued within the last ten years with three months' validity beyond your return.
In 2025 the consulates refused 3.2% of UK applications to Germany, down from 4.6% in 2024. That is a low rate, and it is not a prediction for any one file.
What does not change
The embassy decides, and the 15-day clock starts at your appointment, which comes from the list. The official fees are the same whoever prepares the file: about £116 per adult for Germany (consulate fee plus TLScontact's fee), paid by you, plus your own insurance. We do not refund on a refusal, because the decision is not what you buy; the £99 is refunded in full if you cancel before work starts. Keep travel bookings refundable until the visa is in your passport.
Before you buy: the timing check
For Germany the honest answer to "when will I have my visa" is: the list time, which nobody publishes, plus up to 15 calendar days from the allocated appointment, sometimes up to 45. Register as early as your plans allow; applications are accepted up to six months before travel. If your trip is under three weeks away, read urgent Schengen visa from the UK first, or message the desk on WhatsApp at +44 7341 434824 with your dates and where you live. Replies come from a person, within the hour, day or night. You can also start the plan step and stop before paying.

Common questions
- 01
How does the Germany waiting list work, and what do you do with it?
Since 1 June 2026 the German Embassy in London has run an appointment waiting list through TLScontact in London and Manchester, because demand exceeds the visa section's capacity. You register online with TLScontact in the right visa category; appointments are allocated first come, first served; once one is allocated the TLScontact service fee must be paid within 24 hours or the appointment is cancelled and you rejoin the list. We register you the day your file is ready, under the right category with details that match your passport exactly, keep the file ready, and the day a date is allocated we confirm it with you so you can pay inside the 24 hours.
- 02
The German embassy says I do not need an agency. Why would I pay you?
The embassy is right, and we quote it on this page. You can register on the list and build the file yourself using the free guides on this site. People pay us for the time: the form, a document pack built to the embassy's checklist by a desk that does it daily, the registration done correctly first time, and someone watching for the allocation so the 24-hour window is not missed. The fee is £99, published, and refunded in full if you cancel before work starts.
- 03
Does your booking promise apply to Germany?
Yes, with a plain carve-out. For Germany, booked means registered: we register you on the waiting list within 3 working days of your complete file or the service fee comes back, and the embassy issues the date. We cannot say how long the list takes because the embassy publishes no waiting time and says it will not answer emails about one. If you live in Scotland, we use the Edinburgh centre and work with what TLScontact shows there.
- 04
How much does a Germany visa cost from the UK with your service?
Our service fee is £99 for the first applicant and £69 for each extra applicant on the same order, up to five. The official fees are paid by you: the €90 consulate fee, about £81 (€45 for a child aged 6 to 11, free under 6), TLScontact's service fee of about £28 to £35, an estimate because TLScontact does not publish the UK figure openly, paid within 24 hours of an allocation, and travel insurance from about £12. About £116 per adult in official fees.
- 05
Which centre do I have to use for Germany?
Where you live decides. The German missions' page says London and Manchester serve applicants living in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and Edinburgh serves applicants living in Scotland. Edinburgh is not named in the waiting-list notice. We register or book at the centre for your address and tell you what TLScontact shows there.
- 06
How likely is a Germany visa to be refused from the UK?
The European Commission's 2025 figures show 1,038 of 32,725 UK applications to Germany refused, 3.2%, down from 4.6% in 2024; Edinburgh's consulate refused 1.2% and London's 3.3%. We never use these figures to predict an individual outcome, and we do not guarantee a visa. German consulates are known for careful document review, so the pack is built to the checklist and checked before you go.
