Turkey e-Visa by Nationality: UK Residents' Passport Table

£29 prepared for you or apply yourself: the Turkey e-Visa by passport for UK residents, who qualifies, on what condition, who must use the consulate.

TL;DR

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs decides who can use the e-Visa by passport, not by address. Many passports living in the UK are visa-exempt; a long list can use the e-Visa only with a valid UK, Schengen, US or Irish visa or residence permit; a few get it with no condition; and some, including Nigerian, Ghanaian, Kenyan and Zimbabwean, must use the consulate. The tables below follow the Ministry's wording as read on 23 October 2026.

How to read the tables

Every row comes from the Ministry's visa information for foreigners page and refers to ordinary passports. "Condition" means the supporting document the Turkish Embassy in New Delhi describes: a valid visa or a valid residence permit from a Schengen country, the USA, the UK or Ireland, used or unused, still valid on the day you land, shown in original. For a UK resident that is normally the UK residence permit. The Los Angeles consulate adds a return ticket, a hotel booking, 50 US dollars a day and arrival by air.

The fee column says the same thing for every e-Visa row because the portal, www.evisa.gov.tr, sets the fee by nationality and shows it in US dollars once you select your passport. We do not print amounts we have not read on an official page, and the portal would not display its fee table when we checked.

Four rules that apply to every e-Visa

First, purpose. The Ministry's own line is that the e-Visa is only valid when the purpose of travel is tourism or commerce; work and study need a visa from a mission. Second, the 90-day ceiling: whatever the visa or exemption, the total stay cannot exceed 90 days in any 180. Third, the passport. Law no. 6458 requires an expiry date at least 60 days beyond the duration of stay, so a 30-day stay needs 90 days of validity at entry, and the Ministry advises six months. Fourth, insurance: the Ministry's general information page says all applicants need medical insurance valid for the stay.

One open point concerns UK residents in particular. The supporting document is checked at the airport, and the consulate notes talk about sticker visas and residence cards. No official Turkish page we have read says how the UK's digital immigration status, which replaced the BRP card, is examined. Until one does, carry any BRP you still hold and a printed view of your UK eVisa with the Turkish e-Visa, your return ticket and your hotel booking.

If your row says consulate

The sticker visa route starts with the Pre-Application System at visa.gov.tr and ends with an appointment at the Turkish Consulate General in London. The consulate's document list asks for the signed form, a passport valid six months with two blank pages, a biometric photo, travel health insurance, a round-trip booking, proof of accommodation, proof of occupation and two months of UK bank statements; it accepts cash only. The Ministry suggests applying at least a month ahead. We do not sell our service for this route, and we explain why in eVisa or embassy visa. The Bundler will at least put the file in order for the appointment.

If your row says e-Visa

You can apply yourself on www.evisa.gov.tr for the official fee alone. If you would rather have the form prepared with you, our Turkey e-Visa guide walks through the steps, and the plan step checks your passport and your UK status before anything is paid. We prepare the application in your own portal account, ready for you to check and submit, within 24 hours of your complete details, or your £29 service fee back. You check every answer, it is submitted on your say-so, and you pay the official fee on the portal yourself; the Turkish authorities decide. Additional applicants are £29 each, up to five on one order, with a full refund if you cancel before we start work. Sold by WayaNerd Ltd, company number 16269713.

Common questions

  1. 01

Which passports can get a Turkish e-Visa with a UK residence permit?

Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Nepalese, Filipino, Afghan, Senegalese, Yemeni and Palestinian ordinary passports, Iraqi passports aged 15 to 50, Egyptian passports aged 15 to 45 (who must also fly with one of five named airlines), and Libyan and Algerian passports in the age bands the Ministry lists. The condition is a valid Schengen, US, UK or Irish visa or residence permit, and a UK residence permit meets it.

  2. 02

Which passports get a Turkish e-Visa with no condition?

South African (one month, single entry), Vietnamese (up to 30 days, single entry), Mexican (30 days, single entry), Jamaican (three months, multiple entry), Mauritian (one month, multiple entry), British National (Overseas) (three months, multiple entry) and Egyptian passports under 15 or over 45 (30 days, single entry), as the Turkish MFA lists them.

  3. 03

Which UK residents must apply at the Turkish consulate?

Nigerian, Ghanaian, Kenyan, Zimbabwean, Somali, Ugandan, Tanzanian, Cameroonian, Ethiopian, Sudanese, Eritrean, Gambian, Sierra Leonean, Zambian, Malawian, Syrian, Burmese and Cambodian ordinary passports, which the MFA lists as required to have a visa with no e-Visa route. Nepalese and Bhutanese passports without a qualifying visa or permit can get a 15-day visa from a mission. The route is the Pre-Application System at visa.gov.tr and the Turkish Consulate General in London.

  4. 04

How much is the Turkish e-Visa fee for my nationality?

The fee is set by nationality and charged in US dollars on www.evisa.gov.tr; the portal shows your figure once you select your passport. The MFA's last published fee list dates from 2014 and does not cover the conditional nationalities, and the portal would not display its table when we checked on 23 October 2026, so this page quotes no amount. The e-Visa costs at least 85 US dollars less than a sticker visa, according to the Turkish Embassy in New Delhi.

  5. 05

Do EU passports need a visa for Turkey?

The Turkish MFA page lists the visa regime country by country, and we have only recorded here the entries we read on 23 October 2026: Irish passports are exempt for 90 days in any 180. Check your own country's entry on the MFA page before you travel rather than assuming every EU passport is treated the same way.

  6. 06

Does living in the UK change which Turkish visa I need?

Only in one way. Your nationality decides whether you are exempt, eligible for the e-Visa or sent to the consulate. For the conditional nationalities, your valid UK residence permit is what unlocks the e-Visa route; without it, or without a valid Schengen, US or Irish visa, you would apply at the consulate. Your address itself changes nothing.
