TL;DR
Saudi Arabia's tourist eVisa is open to 68 nationalities, including British citizens, on visa.visitsaudi.com, and to holders of a valid US, UK or Schengen visit visa and permanent residents of the UK, US or EU on the KSA Visa platform at ksavisa.sa. One-year multiple entry, 90-day stays, Umrah allowed, Hajj not. You pay the official fees on the platform; the Saudi authorities decide.
Two routes to the same tourist eVisa
The first route is by passport. The official eVisa portal lists 68 eligible countries, and for a UK reader the notable ones are the United Kingdom, Ireland, every EU member listed, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China including Hong Kong and Macau, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, South Africa, Mauritius and Seychelles. If your passport is on the list you apply on visa.visitsaudi.com. If it is not, the portal's instruction is to contact the nearest Saudi embassy, which is where the second route comes in.
The second route is by what you hold. The KSA Visa platform, the Kingdom's unified visa platform, opens the tourism eVisa to three further groups whatever their nationality: holders of visit visas for Schengen countries, the USA or the UK; permanent residents in the USA, the EU or the UK; and residents of a Gulf Cooperation Council country. For Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Nigerian, Ghanaian, Kenyan and other UK residents, this is the route.
Read the second group carefully. The wording is permanent residents, which in the UK means settled status or indefinite leave to remain. A Skilled Worker, Student, Graduate or family visa is not permanent residence, and it is not a UK visit visa either. If you live in the UK on a time-limited visa, you qualify only if you also hold a valid Schengen or US visit visa. If you do not, the platform's other options are a Saudi visa service centre or the embassy in your country of residence, and our plan step will tell you so rather than take your money.
What the eVisa lets you do
Visit Saudi describes the tourist visa as covering events, visiting family and relatives, leisure, and Umrah, excluding Hajj, and says it excludes other activities such as studying. The KSA Visa platform puts it the same way: performing Umrah is permitted under this visa, and travellers are not authorised to undertake the Hajj pilgrimage on it. Business meetings are not on the list, so we do not sell the tourist eVisa for business trips. Our Umrah guide covers the pilgrimage in detail, including the Nusuk permit.
Validity, stays and the 90-day question
The platform offers two forms. The multiple-entry visa is valid for one year with a stay duration of 90 days. The single-entry visa is valid for 90 days with a stay duration of 90 days. Visit Saudi's summary is a one-year, multiple-entry visa allowing tourists to spend up to 90 days in the country, and gov.uk's reading of the same rule is 90 days in total across the 365-day period. We tell customers to plan for 90 days in the year, not 90 days per visit, because that is the cautious reading of the official text.
Requirements before you apply
The platform's requirements are short. Applicants must be at least 18 unless accompanied by a legal guardian, so children travel on a parent's booking. The passport must have at least six months of validity remaining, which gov.uk also states. You must be able to support yourself during the stay. One point remains open: a Visit Saudi help article has said that visa-route applicants must have entered the UK, US or Schengen area at least once on the visa they rely on. We could not read that page on 23 October 2026, so we treat a used visa as something the platform may ask for and check yours before we start.
The official fees, and where you pay them
The KSA Visa platform lists its fees in US dollars: a visa fee of 80 dollars, labelled refundable; a visa digital services fee of 10.50 dollars and an insurance digital services fee of 10.50 dollars, both non-refundable; and an insurance premium based on the provider you select. The total appears on the platform before you pay, and you pay it there by card. Visit Saudi has quoted a single all-in figure of SAR 535 including insurance, and gov.uk notes that the included health insurance covers up to SAR 100,000. Because the Visit Saudi page carrying the 535 figure did not load when we checked, we quote the platform's itemised structure and nothing else. You can apply yourself on either platform for those fees alone.
Processing time and visa on arrival
The platform states a processing time of 1 minute to 3 business days, through its digital portal. The same two groups that qualify on the platform, visit-visa holders and permanent residents of the US, EU or UK, can also obtain a visa on arrival at a Saudi international airport. We recommend applying ahead: an eVisa means the decision is made before you book a non-refundable flight, and we do not sell visa on arrival.
Our £29 prepared-for-you service
We work out which platform fits you, then prepare the application in your own account, ready for you to check and submit, within 24 hours of your complete details, or your service fee back. You check every answer, it is submitted on your say-so, and you pay the visa fee, the service fees and the insurance premium on the platform yourself; we never take or enter card details. Along the way we size your photo to the platform's rules with our Compressor and check your passport validity and your UK status or visit visa against the eligibility text. The fee is £29 per applicant and £29 for each additional applicant, up to five on one order, with a full refund if you cancel before we start work or if we find the route is not open to you. The Saudi authorities alone decide the outcome. Start at the plan step or read more on the eVisa hub. Sold by WayaNerd Ltd, company number 16269713.

Common questions
- 01
Can I get a Saudi tourist eVisa on an Indian or Pakistani passport if I live in the UK?
Yes, if you hold UK permanent residence (settled status or indefinite leave to remain) or a valid US, UK or Schengen visit visa. The KSA Visa platform opens the tourist eVisa to holders of visit visas for Schengen, the USA or the UK and to permanent residents of the USA, EU or UK, whatever their nationality. A time-limited UK visa alone does not qualify, so someone on a work or student visa without a Schengen or US visit visa applies through a Saudi visa service centre or the embassy instead.

How much does the Saudi tourist eVisa cost?
The KSA Visa platform lists a visa fee of 80 US dollars, labelled refundable, a visa digital services fee of 10.50 US dollars and an insurance digital services fee of 10.50 US dollars, both non-refundable, plus an insurance premium that depends on the provider you select. The platform shows the total before you pay. Visit Saudi has quoted an all-in figure of SAR 535 including insurance, but that page did not load when we checked on 23 October 2026, so we do not quote it as current.
- 03
How long is the Saudi eVisa valid and how long can I stay?
The multiple-entry tourist visa is valid for one year with a stay duration of 90 days; a single-entry version is valid 90 days with a 90-day stay. Visit Saudi describes it as a one-year multiple-entry visa allowing up to 90 days in the country, and gov.uk reads that as 90 days in total across the 365 days, so plan on 90 days in the year rather than 90 per visit.
- 04
Can I do Umrah on the Saudi tourist eVisa?
Yes. Visit Saudi lists Umrah, excluding Hajj, among the activities the tourist visa allows, and the KSA Visa platform says performing Umrah is permitted under this visa. You book the Umrah permit and any Rawdah permit in the Nusuk app. Hajj is not permitted on any visa other than a Hajj visa.
- 05
Does my UK or Schengen visa need to have been used?
The KSA Visa platform's eligibility text says only that you must hold a visit visa for Schengen, the USA or the UK. A Visit Saudi help article has said that travellers must have entered those areas at least once, but we could not read that page on 23 October 2026. We treat the entry stamp as something the platform may ask for, and we check your visa before work starts.
- 06
Do I need a visa in advance, or can I get one on arrival?
Holders of US, UK or Schengen visit visas and permanent residents of the US, EU or UK can also obtain a visa on arrival at the airport, according to the KSA Visa platform. We recommend the eVisa so the decision is known before you fly, and we do not sell visa on arrival.
